LESSON 2: Innies and Outies (Repressive & Reactive Patterns)

RESOURCES

LESSON DESCRIPTION

In this lesson we explore the 1st layer of your automatic patterns which we call the Expression Layer which has two primary ways of handling situations that feel too stressful. This top layer is what the 'video camera' sees as it is visible to anyone observing you when you are in a pattern.

1) The Reactive Pattern and

2) The Repressive pattern

After learning what each of these patterns is, you can see how they are at work in yourself and your relationship. This will give you the power to change them.

Which type are you more predominantly given the specific pattern you are looking to rewrite? What’s an example of something you recognize that you do that fits one of these descriptions?

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Learn how "excess" energy gets turned into unwanted behavior
Uncover the first layer of your automatic patterns
Learn how *repressive* patterning responds to stress
Learn how *reactive* patterning responds to stress

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

“The shadow is not a problem to be solved or an enemy to be conquered, but a fertile field to be cultivated. When we dig our hands into its rich soil, we will discover the potent seeds of the people we most desire to be."

- Debbie Ford
